Burnt Ends

Ingredients

  • 3lb Pork Belly cut into 1” cubes

Dry Rub

  • 1/2 cup Braswell Prok Rub
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

(Mixed together)

BBQ Sauce

  • 1 bottle Braswell Apple Cinnamon BBQ Sauce
  • 3 Tbsp D.O. Apple Cider
  • 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tbsp Braswell pork rub

Instructions

  1. Cover the pork cubes in the pork rub, making sure to coat all sides, and place on a raised cooking grid/wire rack inside a roasting dish. This allows the fat to render out of the pork.
  2. Place in the center of a pre heated oven to 275°F. Cook for 1.5 hours.
  3. Remove the pork from the oven and transfer to an aluminum tray. Glaze the pork thoroughly in the BBQ sauce, making sure to coat all sides.
  4. Place aluminum tray in the oven and continue to cook. Check the pork every 10 minutes and glaze them 2-3 times to make sure they are nice and sticky.
  5. Remove from the oven once the outside of the pork has caramelized and you have that nice crunchy bark. If you need to, turn the oven up high for 5-10 minutes to get that perfect bark.
