- 12 oz. frozen spinach, chopped, thawed and squeezed of water
- 6 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. white pepper
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 2 pizza doughs
- 2 TBS butter
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. In a bowl, beat together the spinach and cream cheese. Add garlic, salt, onion powder, white pepper, oregano and beat to combine. Add parmesan cheese
and mozzarella cheese and beat to combine.
Defrost and bring pizza dough to room temperature. When it is defrosted, roll out dough into 2 separate circles, setting one aside. Place one of the dough circles on the parchment paper.
Using a pizza cutter, cut 1 large triangle in the center of the dough. Remove the extra pieces. Spread spinach mixture on top of the dough, making certain to cover it completely. Place the second dough on top of the spinach mixture. Use a pizza cutter to create the same triangle shape so the edges match up. On both sides of the triangle, make slits going all the way up leaving about an inch running up the center still connected. Then, twist each strip to create the individual bread stick. Once done brush with melted butter and sprinkle with oregano.
Bake tree for about 22 – 25 minutes until golden brown on top and cooked through on the bottom. Serve warm.
